HOW TO MAKE A CITY: The Next Decade of Urban Action will be on display at the WRI Hub during Climate Week NYC 2026, Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the First Floor Lobby at Apella. The exhibition will be on view throughout Hub hours, with no fixed program or moderated component.

Developed by the WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities in partnership with the Yale Hixon Center for Urban Sustainability, HOW TO MAKE A CITY is a retrospective exhibition drawing lessons on urban transformation from 25 finalists across five Prize cycles. The exhibition explores how bold, local action can spark wider change and invites visitors to consider what the next decade of urban transformation demands. The featured initiatives, selected from more than 1,200 Prize submissions since 2018, offer practical lessons for accelerating and deepening transformative change in cities around the world.
