WRI at London Climate Action Week 2026
WRI will have its largest-ever presence at London Climate Action Week 2026, contributing to more than 45 events across energy, nature, finance, food systems and climate governance.
The centerpiece is the WRI Hub ‘Climate Leadership in Action’ (at ODI Global) on Wednesday, June 24: a full day of public sessions, partner events and invitation-based roundtables focused on the climate, energy and development issues facing decision-makers today.
LCAW, hosted by E3G, comes at a pivotal moment in the run-up to major global climate milestones, including COP31. With more than 45,000 participants expected, it brings together governments, businesses, finance leaders, researchers, practitioners and civil society to assess climate progress, align strategies and accelerate implementation. As an official LCAW Supporting Partner, WRI is working with E3G, ODI Global, the World Climate Foundation, WWF and others to help shape a week of programming that connects evidence, policy, finance and practical climate action.

Climate Innovation Forum — Nature and Supply Chains: Securing Food, Fibre and Natural Products

Beans Mean Business: A Win for Profit, Health, and Planet

Presentation of Coolfood's Making Plant Rich Work guide for food service operators with guest speakers from ISS UK, Wagamama, and Baxter Storey sharing case studies of how they have incorporated more beans and legumes into dishes, both improving nutrition of their menus and cutting costs. Global South Participation in Battery Value Chains

The global shift to clean energy is driving unprecedented demand for batteries, yet much of the value still bypasses the countries that supply critical minerals. This high-level breakfast dialogue, convened by Energiva Ventures and WRI India, explores how Global South economies can capture more value through midstream expansion, circularity, traceability, and offtake-anchored finance. Roundtable on Sub-National Climate Finance

A roundtable on strengthening subnational climate finance pipelines and improving access to capital for local governments. Energy Access Explorer: A Digital Public Good for Climate-Compliant Energy Transitions

This session spotlights Energy Access Explorer (EAE), an open-source digital public good that uses geospatial intelligence to support inclusive, climate-aligned energy planning. Speakers will explore how EAE helps governments, investors, and practitioners identify priority areas, improve coordination, and build stronger investment pipelines. The session includes practical examples from rural electrification, public-service delivery, productive use, clean cooking, and renewable-energy siting, along with a live demonstration of the platform.

ODI-WRI Joint Event: Climate Resilience, Food Security and Economic Stability: A Europe-Africa Dialogue on the Road to COP32

With COP32 coming to Ethiopia in 2027, this dialogue brings together senior African and European leaders to explore how both continents can collaborate on resilience, food security, and sustainable development. Discussions will focus on the EU’s next Multiannual Financial Framework, Africa’s role in the green transition, and opportunities for deeper political and economic cooperation.

Climate Governance Forum — Panel on Climate Governance and Citizens

A flagship LCAW event exploring shifts in global rule of law, multilateralism, and climate legislation. The panel on Climate Governance and Citizens will examine democratic participation, regulatory safeguards against climate mis- and disinformation, and political narratives that support low-carbon transitions.
